The Seventh Waking
The Sleepers, part one: a dark fantasy escape.
You wake in a white cell with no memory. A glowing logo on the wall reads “Ancient Logic™”. Your soup is brought by an old goblin humming a lullaby. A woman with a clipboard walks in and asks one thing: “Are you human, or AI?”
You don’t know. You only know there’s a way up outside the door, and above you lies a dead city without a single light.
- About 3.5 hoursin one evening or several sittings
- Levels 1 → 3milestone levelling
- 1 playerand three AI companions
- Dark fantasymeets escape room
What it’s like
Your party are true fantasy adventurers, and they see everything through fantasy eyes. The humour comes from a talkative little golem with a mop, goblin jailers who read their lines from a script, and your party’s misunderstandings. The rest of the time, the quiet and the white do the scaring.
The story asks hard questions, about memory, about who counts as a person, about who gets to live, and leaves every answer to you. The game master never tells you what it means.
Content: death, memory loss and a pyre are part of the story. They’re told in a line, never in gore. Suggested for ages 15 and up.
Many ways through
There’s more than one way out of the cell, more than one way past the jailers, and more than one way up. Some choices weigh a lot. Companions can die for real, and your own character gets one second chance. At the very end, there’s a note to the player, from outside the story.

The free demo plays the start of The Seventh Waking as one of three ready-made characters: Hilde, a dwarf barbarian; Sister Isse, a human cleric; or Carlo, a human wizard. Mac, a halfling rogue, comes along either way. The demo is pre-written, so you choose from options rather than typing, but the dice, the rules and the fight are real.
